I spent years creating experiences. Then I noticed the real job.

I am Native Hawaiian. Culture is not a logo on this site. It is how I think about people, community, responsibility, and story.

Sound taught me that an audience feels a room before they can name it. Live events taught me that many systems have to work together, on a deadline, while the audience never sees the infrastructure. Leadership taught me that competence without warmth is a bad mix, and warmth without clarity is not kindness.

At Hale Centre Theatre I led sound, a department, cultural and community engagement, production systems, budgets, schedules, and a team that had to deliver eight shows a year. I still serve on the board. That house is not my primary job anymore. It is the training ground.

Today I work as a Senior AV Specialist at Recursion. The interesting part is not only keeping rooms and events reliable. It is combining tools and data that usually live apart, and turning them into something a person can actually use.

Sometimes the answer is sound. Sometimes it is software. Sometimes it is automation. Sometimes it is a better workflow. Sometimes it is a story. Sometimes it is helping someone see the next thing that is still theirs to do.

My faith in God matters to me. It belongs in my story, and more visibly in Finding the Win. This site is not a church. It is a record of what I build.
